Changes to the pre-removal risk assessment for Sudan

Individuals from Sudan may now be eligible to apply for a pre‑removal risk assessment (PRRA) if they received a negative final decision from the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada or the Federal Court, or a final PRRA decision from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) between August 23, 2022, and August 22, 2023.

Canada Border Services Agency will advise eligible individuals from Sudan that they can apply for a PRRA if they are currently subject to an enforceable removal order.
