Pathway to permanent residence for Ukrainian families open

As Russia continues its illegal and unjustifiable invasion of Ukraine, Canada remains committed to adapting its response to help those fleeing violence. Since March 2022, the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) has provided temporary safe haven to over 185,000 Ukrainians. The overseas application intake under CUAET closed on July 15, 2023.

IRCC is now launching a new permanent residence pathway to help keep families together and allow Ukrainian nationals to build their lives in Canada with the support of their family.
